Description
The EDI Programmer/Analyst position reports to the ERP Manager and is responsible for all electronic data interchanges between Impax and its trading partners using traditional EDI and XML web-based transactions. He/she designs, builds, maps, implements and coordinates the processing and scheduling of electronic business transactions between the company and its external partners.
Responsibilities:
* Act as key coordinator between internal clients (Customer Service, Finance and IT) and external business trading partners (Customers, Wholesalers, and e-commerce network service providers) for set up of EDI transactions
* Plan, test and implement EDI and XML transactions
* Monitor all EDI activity to ensure production transactions are flowing correctly
* Test and debug problematic issues
* Work with internal IT specialists to map inbound and outbound transactions to target applications
Requirements:
* +5 years technical experience of programming and development techniques used to create ANSI-X12 EDI transactions (810,850,856,844,845,849,867)
* Experience on-boarding new trading partners
* Experience with multiple EDI translators preferred
* IBM AS400 and Inovis Trusted Link experience preferred
* 4 year degree in Business or Information Systems or equivalent education and work experience
* Analytical and problem solving skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work in a team environment - effective interpersonal skills
